DAY 1. - Departure from Cusco early in the morning in one of our vehicles specially equipped
for the route. We pass through picturesque valleys and rural communities. Continuing the journey to ascend to the pass at 3,850 meters Acjanacu From here we will descend through the cloud forest, an area rich in endemic species as the spectacled bear and the cock of the rock, orchids, bromeliads, ferns, etc. and others where we spend our first night comfortably installed in our hostel Orchids San Pedro.
DAY 2. - Very early we can appreciate the interesting courtship dance of the Cock of the Rock,
the national bird of Peru, who has a striking plumage of red-orange intense installed in a camouflaged platform, after breakfast we continue our journey by bus, crossing the high forest, arriving at the town of Pilcopata *, then the port of Atalaya, located along the Alto Madre de Dios River, 700 m place from which to begin the descent down the river for 15 minutes. DAY 3. - After breakfast, we board our boat which will navigate the Madre de Dios River for
about four hours bound for the airfield at Boca Manu. The boat ride gives us the opportunity to observe birds such as black skimmers, herons and several species of kingfishers, swallows and flycatchers. Optional flight from Cusco - Boca Manu - means that some passengers may join our group who went by land, this flight passes through the Andes and down in the lowlands in an aerodrome gras. DAY 6. - Today we rise early again for walking around Salvador Lake and then pack up and board our boat downstream leads us slowly through the Manu River and then headed to Boca
Manu, a small village located at the confluence of the Manu and Alto Mother of God. From this point the river takes the name of Mother of God, becoming the hydrographic axis of the Department of Madre de Dios, in the evening, will arrive at the Private Reserve of John of God where he walked by an interesting system of trails, spend one more night surrounded by the magic of the Amazon rainforest. We spent the night at our hostel Erika or camping in an appropriate beach, last night in this wonderful Amazon jungle.
DAY 8. - Waking up very early, we continue plying the river to the port of Atalaya that arrive at dusk and then take the bus back to Cusco arriving late this evening or tomorrow early in the morning. END OF OUR SERVICES.
