Manu 8 DIAS / 7 NOCHES
DAY 1. - Departure from Cusco early in the morning in one of our vehicles specially equipped 
for the route. We pass through picturesque valleys and rural communities. By mid-morning visit the Pre-Inca Tombs Ninamarca, known as "Chullpas" Then we will go to Paucartambo typical colonial town of much importance at that time and still retains its flavor. Continuing the journey to ascend to the pass at 3,850 meters Acjanacu From here we will descend through the cloud forest, an area rich in endemic species as the spectacled bear and the cock of the rock, orchids, bromeliads, ferns, etc. and others where we spend our first night comfortably installed in our hostel Orchids San Pedro.
DAY 2. - Very early we can appreciate the interesting courtship dance of the Cock of the Rock, 
the national bird of Peru, who has a striking plumage of red-orange intense installed in a camouflaged platform, after breakfast we continue our journey by bus, crossing the high forest, arriving at the town of Pilcopata *, then the port of Atalaya, located along the Alto Madre de Dios River, 700 m place from which to begin the descent down the river for 15 minutes. We can see the enormous diversity of existing birds, including herons, vultures, cormorants, etc.. up to our private reserve "Erika" where we will walk through the interesting trail of this transitional area between high and lowland forest. Overnight in the lodge.
- 1 Optional: Descend with mountain bikes from our hostel San Pedro (1,700 m) Cloud Forest Pilcopata (700 m) recommended only for people with much experience, depending on availability of bicycles and weather conditions.
- 2 Free Optional: From Pilcopata embark on a journey of approximately 1 ½ hours of river rafting (class I and II) by rivers Koshñipata and / or Alto Madre de Dios, past the spectacular Koñeq Pongo's where we stop to enjoy the scenery and a swim in crystal waters. It will continue until we reach our hostel.

DAY 3. - After breakfast, we board our boat which will navigate the Madre de Dios River for 
about four hours bound for the airfield at Boca Manu. The boat ride gives us the opportunity to observe birds such as black skimmers, herons and several species of kingfishers, swallows and flycatchers. Optional flight from Cusco - Boca Manu - means that some passengers may join our group who went by land, this flight passes through the Andes and down in the lowlands in an aerodrome gras. DAY 4. - On our boat we went to the parrot clay lick, a clay wall of the river where different species of parrots like the blue-headed parrot, white eyed parakeet, among others, go every 
morning to extract and licking pieces of clay. Upon completion of this activity, we will stop in Limonal, where we will present the necessary documents for the control of entry into the Restricted Zone. Undertake Manu river trip upstream, leaving all traces of civilization to the heart of Restricted Area for about four hours to Cocha Salvador, where we spend the next two nights in our safari camp which has double rooms fully entangled, screened dining room, services toilets / showers, radio communications and photovoltaics.
During this road you will see countless species of birds, alligators, river turtles and mammals often sunning on the beach or feeding on the surrounding trees. This tour shows us the vastness of our forests. After lunch we spent our time walking in search of wildlife in this pristine jungle and talk about general ecology.
DAY 5. - We will probably wake up early morning howler monkey declaring his territory against others. Before breakfast one morning we walk because the temperature at this time makes it common to find animals for food. Cocha Salvador explore using the catamaran can 
see some wildlife species such as the Giant Otter (Pteronura brasiliensis) an endangered species, important population than it can be seen fishing, playing or swimming in the same way the Black Caiman ( Melanosuchus niger), the Hoatzin (Ophisthocomus hoatzin), the Spider Monkey (Ateles paniscus), etc. and flora of their surroundings and then return to the camp where our friendly staff is waiting to offer a refreshing breakfast. This forest with the greatest diversity of species in the direction of Otorongo Cocha, Laguna where there is an observation tower strategically located 15 meters from where we will have the opportunity to appreciate the scenery of the surrounding primary forest and a greater chance of seeing the resident family of giant otters, as well as great opportunities to observe wildlife including the Giant Otter. Returning to Salvador we are able to use the catamaran Cocha Salvador and with the help of our flashlights to observe the Black Caiman leaving in search of prey. Overnight at our camping safari.
DAY 6. - Today we rise early again for walking around Salvador Lake and then pack up and board our boat downstream leads us slowly through the Manu River and then headed to Boca
Manu, a small village located at the confluence of the Manu and Alto Mother of God. From this point the river takes the name of Mother of God, becoming the hydrographic axis of the Department of Madre de Dios, in the evening, will arrive at the Private Reserve of John of God where he walked by an interesting system of trails, spend one more night surrounded by the magic of the Amazon rainforest. Opportunities within a short night walk to search for the American toad, frogs, horns, tree frogs and a host of colorful insects. Overnight in the lodge Boca.
DAY 7. - Around mid-morning or before our boat takes us to Boca Manu airport where there is the option of taking the flight back to Cusco, otherwise sailed up the River Alto Madre de Dios always observing the great diversity of birdlife. We spent the night at our hostel Erika or camping in an appropriate beach, last night in this wonderful Amazon jungle.
DAY 8. - Waking up very early, we continue plying the river to the port of Atalaya that arrive at dusk and then take the bus back to Cusco arriving late this evening or tomorrow early in the morning. END OF OUR SERVICES.
IMPORTANT: In order to meet the guide and the group of participants, and give some final recommendations and answer questions, the day before departure at 7:00 pm we have a meeting at the agency (Silversmiths 356).
